Following the exploits of Jake the Dog and Finn the Human, it takes place in the Land of Ooo – a techno-magically batstuff-insane continent on an Earth one thousand years after a devastating apocalypse known as “The Great Mushroom War.” It’s funnier than it sounds. Adventure Time, as you may know if you’ve been on the Internet at least once in the last six years, is a show on Cartoon Network (ostensibly for kids in the same way that Invader Zim and much of Animaniacs was for kids, in that it is in large part wildly inappropriate for kids).
